Aesop narrates to you… As part of the Festival “Cultura dal Basso”, μicrokosmos participated with a workshop for children named “Aesop narrates to you” (Esopo ti racconta in Italian).
The aim of the workshop was for children to get to know Aesop and his fables through his biography and to comprehend the timelessness of his fables and the importance of the moral lesson. The animator just tells children that Aesop was a writer and asks them to draw him as they imagine him. Next he asks them if they know his origin (Was he Greek?) and based on their drawings he asks them to describe him both externally (If he was handsome, tall, short etc.) and internally (What were his qualities? Was he educated? Sophisticated?). He also asks them about his social and financial status (Was he rich? Poor?).
After having listened to the children’s descriptions the animator shows them Aesop’s bust and reads written testimonies about his appearance and his life (It appears that originally he was a slave coming from Phrygia) using a historical map to show them where he came from.
After that the children pull tickets. Each ticket contains a phrase from the Aesop’s fable “The fox and the grapes”. The animator asks children to put the phrases in the correct order so as to complete the fable.
Finally, using questions the animators helps children find the moral of the story and asks them to explain what is the meaning of the moral lesson.
verse|click Paraphrasing Hegel we dare to say that the main result of poetry – of the verse is that it awakened the consciousness of this utmost internal energy (of thought with or without definition). And although the abstract or subtractive –but comprehensive- way in which this principle was perceived does not allow any premeditated development, any clear definition, any supreme knowledge or any moral law/barrier, it has, however, this importance: that it excludes any authority, any external element. Why? Because poetry is mostly empathy, introspection, an existential quest.
Following poetry the total independence of expression should be thought of as an essential principle of speech.

This appointment was born of the commitment of a group of friends and of the Mikrocosmos Cultural Association and was moved by the desire to create a culture of words and meeting, as opposed to the silence and the clashes of these times.
The theme presented by the Book Fair of this edition, "Visions", was the occasion to rethink the history of the Armenian genocide and to discover the birth of a real country, Armenia, with its splendid capital, its young people, its traditions: a book, a documentary film and the original music played alive, at the cinema F.lli Marx of corso Belgio 53, which made available the space.

“Long distances” (Μακρινές αποστάσεις in Greek) is Peni Papoutsi’s first collection of poems, which was published electronically by μicrokosmos.
It consists of selected poems written by the actress who became known to the public through her leading roles at the National Theatre and they are the result of her feelings through time. She tried to show with words all the things that surrounded and marked her in an effort to decipher the emotional traits caused by her experiences.
“They are the mirror of my glance on whatever hurt me and redeemed me. In this way I wanted to communicate them because I believe that we can all find common places and souls open and interdependent.”
Welcome to the “International Sign: A practical kit”!
This is a multilingual e-book, open to everyone; Deaf and Hearing persons, from any country.
This is not a complete course of the language but, as the name suggests, it aims to be ready to use, available in every situation and practical, like a handbag with everything we need in it.
Since the best way to learn a language is to use it and all attempts to have sign languages in a written form have failed, new technologies can help us. In particular, an e-book shares some characteristics with sign languages: it is visual, dynamic, innovative, interactive, always up-to-date, so it can be a great tool in order to learn this language. It is accessible in every aspect because it is suitable for everyone and really economic. This kind of technology allows constant and immediate updating, so as to keep up with the changes of a living language and a living culture, such as the Deaf culture! The structure is simple and immediately comprehensible. It is divided into thematic chapters and the grammar structure is shown through examples of some easy sentences.
